I did not realize how depressing this book would be beforehand. Even though, it was very sad, it was very powerful. Liz Emerson, is the most popular girl in school,

but her life is far from perfect. In fact, she has done some underhanded things to gain her title in her high school. She realizes that she is alone and she hates being alone, the silence is killing her. She also realizes the people she has brought down since high school started. She truly believes that everyone else would be better if she were no longer around. Even though, from other people's perspective they want her here, they want her to survive.
