DENVER – Not only was Denver victorious in Super Bowl 50, the city also came out on top in Charity Bowl 50.
Charlotte Catholic Charities held a week-long fundraising campaign to coincide with the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos match-up.
The ultimate goal was for each agency to raise $50,000 through the online campaign.
Neither city reached their goal, but there was a commendable show of support.
At the end of Super Bowl 50, Denver Catholic Charities raised $16,890. Charlotte Catholic Charities received $14,333 in donations.
Both agencies will use the funds to assist their programs that help the poor and underserved, both individuals and families.
