DENVER - You are walking out the door to a few flurries in the foothills and light snow on the eastern plains this morning. The snow will move out quickly and

we will see mostly sunny skies through the afternoon.

This minor weather feature will produce another 3-6 inches of snow in the mountains, while just a dusting to a half inch is expected for the eastern plains tonight and early Friday.

High temperatures on Friday will stay in the low to mid 30s for lower elevations, with 20s in the mountains. Winds may be gusty at times, especially in the mountains, so bundle up if you have outdoor plans.

The weekend will be dry and a little milder with readings returning to the low 40s in Denver and the upper 20s to low 30s in the mountains. By the way, the weather in Santa Clara will be beautiful for the Super Bowl on Sunday - dry, light winds and mild with temperatures in the low to mid 60s at kickoff!

A delightful warming trend is on the way early next week! Highs will return to the 50s and even the low 60s over the eastern plains, with 30s and 40s for the mountains and western valleys.
