DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Xcel Energy Inc. has ended a decade-long relationship with Denver-based
ad firm Vladimir Jones.
Instead, Minneapolis-based Xcel (NYSE: XEL) -- Colorado's largest power utility -- is going with a hometown shop, offering a three-year contract to Yamamoto as its advertising agency of record.
Xcel's ad campaigns usually promote utility safety and energy conservation. The first ads from Yamamoto are likely to air in the second half of the year, said David Pendery, Xcel's Director of Public Relations and Advertising David Pendery said.
