KUSA - You might think you're ready to
watch the Super Bowl this coming Sunday, but are you really? This week 9News Fitness Expert Jamie Atlas takes us through the important moves that you need to know to make sure you reduce your chance of injury when celebrating, but also the correct technique for when the Broncos offense (or defense!) does something memorable.
If you've attended a Broncos game, then you know the chant that happens whenever the defense stops the opposition from catching a pass. When in your seat you don't have the chance to give this the full treatment it deserves. To make this a full body "in-com-plete," add either a forward or reverse lunge, in this order. (IN) Standing tall, taking your arms high above your head, (COM) then cross the arms in front (PLETE) then take a step back and bring the arms down and in front, showing the catch was not made and that you're a true broncos fan celebrating our defensive efforts.
The first step is to get out of your chair. From a seated position, bring the feet under the body first so you can leap out of your chair, pumping a fist in the air. The next step is to high five your friend. The secret of a good high five is to watch your friends elbow. If you see where the elbow is, your hand will follow in the right place. Be sure to give a solid and hearty total body high five for maximum celebration calories expended.
If (or should I saw when?) our defense makes a sack, you of course need a celebration dance. To borrow some moves from Von Miller, you'll need this one: http://bit.ly/1R1U19B. Whatever your move, give it style and give it passion.
