DENVER – A man taken
to the hospital after a house fire in Denver on January 12 died on Saturday, according to Denver Health Medical Center.
Ralph Andrade III, 72, passed away from injuries he suffered while escaping the home. Firefighters say Andrade fell from the second-story window during the rescue.
Before the fire started, he was hooked up to a dialysis machine getting treatment in his home.
The fire broke out about 7 p.m. in the basement of the home at 9752 W. Stanford Ave, where the family had lived for nearly four decades.
Andrade’s son was bedridden with Multiple Sclerosis and could not escape the fire. Six people, including Andrade, were taken to the hospital.
