COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A judge has set bond at $1 million for a man involved in a shootout with Colorado Springs police responding to a report of a

home burglary.

The Gazette reports ( ) 34-year-old Thomas James Guolee appeared in court Wednesday on 19 counts, including attempted murder of a police officer and attempted burglary.

Guolee was arrested after a Dec. 30 attempted burglary and shootout with police, which ended when he crashed a vehicle and was wounded by officers. No officers were injured in the shooting and Guolee suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Property records show the home belonged to a former prison employee. A Colorado Department of Corrections spokeswoman confirmed the owner was a former corrections officer who left his job Dec. 21.

Jail records do not list an attorney for Guolee.
