Snow flurries are
expected to begin falling Wednesday afternoon in the Denver metro area.
"We'll get some passing showers, but little or no accumulation," said Kyle Fredin, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There is a 20 percent chance for snow along the Front Range on Wednesday, Fredin said.
The high temperature Wednesday is expected to be 45 degrees. Temperatures will drop nearly 10 degrees on Thursday before warming back up into the 40s Friday and the lower 50s Saturday.
There is a small chance of snow in the Denver area on Sunday when the high is expected to be 42 degrees, Fredin said.
Between 2 and 5 inches of snow is expected Wednesday in the mountains. Another 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected in the high country Wednesday night.
