FORT COLLINS COLORADOAN - A man wanted for reportedly stabbing his entire family in Cheyenne was killed late Friday after wrecking the
vehicle he was fleeing in and then stepping into traffic on Interstate 25 near Fort Collins where he was run over multiple times, officials say.
Complete details remained sparse late Saturday, but the bizarre events on Interstate 25 unfolded about 11:55 p.m. Friday. A southbound vehicle veered across the median, crossed into the northbound lanes of I-25 and rolled into a field near mile marker 283, about 5 miles north of Wellington, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Alisha Danko. The man then got out of the vehicle and stepped into the northbound lanes of traffic where he was hit by several vehicles.
It’s believed the man, identified by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office and Cheyenne police as 30-year-old Randall Vanwoerkom, stabbed his family earlier in the evening in Wyoming.
