In Hong Kong, I was in line in a 7/11 trying to load up my octopus card. When my card didn't register, the clerk looked very upset and told me to step aside as others pushed me from behind without saying a word.

Though this doesn't show the big picture, I have reason to believe that Taiwanese are much nicer.
