A “one-stop knowledge resource” has been launched by the Third Sector Research Centre.
Bringing together research on a range of subjects from policy to funding it is hoped the portal will inform the work of academics, service providers and other charity sector stakeholders.
Built in partnership with the British Library, it has been funded by £200,000 from the Big Lottery Fund. Materials, which include government reports, academic research and training materials, will be updated on an ongoing basis. Anyone wishing to deposit research in the portal are encouraged to do so. Content will be free wherever possible.
"TSRC believes in the importance of evidence to inform decision and policy making. As well as helping to develop evidence on the sector, we are committed to increasing the capacity of the sector to use research. This Portal will make it easier for people to find and use the wide range of research resources on the sector," said Pete Alcock, director of TSRC.
The information portal can be found at www.tsrc.ac.uk.
