DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Coupling a low unemployment rate,
rising home appreciation and strong income growth, online real estate company Zillow predicted that Denver will be the hottest residential real estate market in the country in 2016.
Denver's followed by Seattle, Dallas-Fort Worth, Richmond, Virginia and Boise, Idaho on the Zillow list of hottest 2016 markets.
Zillow predicts Denver homes to appreciate 5 percent in 2016, expects income to grow 1.1 percent, and predicts an annual unemployment rate of 3.1 percent.
"Those three variables were then scaled and combined to form a 'hotness score,' producing the top ten list," Zillow said in a statement.'
