Last week's attacks on Paris caught the world's attention and generated serious dialog about issues related to immigration, religion, terrorism among others. This film, despite its name does touch on

those very subjects but in a light hearted way. Baya is a young, hippie Frenchwoman of dual ethnicity who seduces people who are opposed to her politically in order to change their views. She meets Arthur and thinks that she can do the same to him but of course things are not always what they seem. As I watched this film I couldn't help but wonder that only in France could a romcom also touch on religion, casual racism, feminism and issues of belonging in French society. Highly recommended.
