This is a compilation of films spanning David Attenborough’s career in wildlife and adventure documentary. I thought I was checking-out a film about the Birds of Paradise, but was surprised

to find it is much more. The two-disc collection is packed with wide-spanning and fascinating subjects like ancient tree amber, Easter Island, uncharted exploration of central New Guinea in 1971, animals who make music, and of course two films just dedicated to Birds of Paradise and Bowerbirds. Bowerbirds: The Art of Seduction is thrilling and raises the question if animals can create and understand art. At the very end of all the films is a special called Life on Air; it’s an outline of Attenborough’s achievements in his career in TV and film. Before Attenborough in Paradise, I was not familiar with David Attenborough’s work and very much enjoyed discovering it!
