KUSA – While flowers, cards and jewelry are the norm for Mother's Day,
moms always appreciate a gift that you made yourself.
And here's something you can't only make yourself, but can also enjoy with your mom: Brunch.
Chef Adam Knowles with the Cook Street School of Culinary Arts joined us on 9NEWS at 5 p.m. to show off a brunch option.

Find the recipe for crab cakes below:
1 lb. lump crab meat
¼ c. chives, chopped
2 T. aioli
½ c. saltine crackers, crushed
1 T. dijon mustard
1 egg yolk
2 t. Old Bay Seasoning
½ lemon, juiced
salt to taste
Mix the crab meat together with everything but the clarified butter. Form into patties and pan sear in the butter until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
