BUSINESS JOURNAL - Denver's residential real estate market may be hot, but it pales in comparison to some neighborhoods in Boston and Seattle, where home-buying competitiveness is white hot.
According to Seattle online real estate company Redfin, of the nation's 20 most competitive neighborhoods for homes, 15 were in either Seattle or Boston. San Francisco and Portland had the other five.
Redfin ranked its neighborhood competitiveness using criteria including year-over-year median price growth, the percentage sold above asking price, the number of days on the market, the number of offers its agents faced a bidding war, and the percentage of all-cash offers.
