DENVER - If you can't get enough sports, even while you are traveling, Denver International Airport has your fix.
who use the trains that run between the terminal and concourses will be greeted by the voices of Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and Colorado Avalanche General Manager Joe Sakic.
This is all to celebrate the 20th anniversary of DIA, which was earlier this year.
DIA, who recently changed their logo, says the "Train Call" is public art and voices of local celebrities are recorded to feature local events.
Some other celebrities who have lent their voices to DIA include: Peyton Manning, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and even 9NEWS' Adele Arakawa. In June, Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin and Colorado Rapids coach Pablo Mastroeni had messages.
Here is Emmanuel Sanders' message:
"Welcome to Denver. This is Emmanuel Sanders, wide receiver for your Denver Broncos. As someone who has made a lot of great connections in my career, I am proud to say that this is definitely a winning airport. Denver International Airport, congrats on 20 years of outstanding service."
Joe Sakic's DIA train message KUSA
Here is Joe Sakic's message:
"Welcome to Denver. This is Joe Sakic, general manager of your Colorado Avalanche. I'm extremely proud to call DIA my hometown airport. Cheers to the 20 years together with the Avalanche and Denver International Airport."
If you can't get enough Joe Sakic, the Avalanche's home opener is Thursday, Oct. 8 when they take on the Minnesota Wild.
The next Broncos game is Sunday at Sports Authority Field when they play the Minnesota Vikings.
